Buzz words. Differentiate. Standards. Common Core. 21st Century Learner. Digital Native. Balanced Literacy. Critical Thinking. Flipped learning. STEM. Technology Integration. Multiple Intelligences.
The list goes on. A list that clouds what really matters. When we spend all of our time discussing the buzzwords and working to narrow down what they mean, we forget that it’s all about learning.
Buzz words aren’t going to fix education.
We are. One day at a time. By doing what’s right for our kids in our classrooms. Not just because it’s a popular word. Because it’s what matters.

I was wondering if I could use your graphic titled A Tale of Two Classrooms: Compare & Contrast for a presentation I am going to make to some teachers in my school board here in Nova Scotia, Canada.

I totally agree. Focus on the kids not the fads. Be a great teacher not just a fashinable one!
